Our Commitment
51ÁÔÆæ, East Bay is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to provide websites, applications, and digital content that are accessible and usable for everyone.
In alignment with CSU Executive Order 1111 and applicable federal and state laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and California Government Code §11135, 51ÁÔÆæ is committed to providing equal access to university programs, services, activities, and information.
The University aligns its digital accessibility efforts with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA to support consistent and inclusive access to our digital resources.
Conformance Status
Cal State East Bay strives for its websites, web applications, and digital content to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and the university continually works to identify and remove barriers while improving the accessibility of its digital resources.
Assessment and Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. 51ÁÔÆæ works with campus partners to evaluate websites, digital documents, instructional materials, and information and communication technology (ICT) to identify and remediate accessibility barriers.
Current priorities include:
- Supporting faculty and staff in remediating high-impact documents and Canvas courses.
- Reducing accessibility barriers on top-visited campus webpages.
- Ensuring new ICT purchases follow the campus accessibility review process.

The ATI provides systemwide accessibility training, resources, and communities of practice where specialized knowledge and successful business processes and services are shared throughout the CSU.
