On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration of 51ΑΤΖζ, East Bay, we would like to congratulate our undergraduate and graduate students receiving a credential, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree. The commencement ceremonies are designed especially for you and your family members to join in the celebration of this momentous event in your lives. We are sure you are all very proud of your accomplishments, and we at the University are proud of you as well.


2027 Commencement Ceremonies

The University will host eight in-person commencement ceremonies based on department/major in May 2027. For details, please visit our 2027 Commencement Ceremonies page.


Eligible Graduates

The commencement celebration will include all students who have filed for graduation for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.

Students who have filed for Fall 2027, will be invited to the Spring 2028 ceremonies.

Alumnus Gene Luen Yang (MS ’03, Education) was the recipient of a prestigious MacArthur Foundation β€œGenius Grant” in 2016.

51ΑΤΖζ is committed to promoting civic engagement among students and has signed a Campus Compact Civic Action Statement.
